For Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I’m sharing a clip of Tommy Guerrrero’s interview from Humanity Stoked where he’s talking about MLK Jr. being a hero of his, and also the childhood inspiration for creating his now iconic “End Racism” board.

I’m wishing everyone a wonderful day today, and with hope that each of us takes a little time to reflect on the past human triumphs and travesties regarding equality in this world, in our communities, and in our own lives. There’s room for all of us to grow with an open heart and mind. It’s also my wish that each of us thinks about the remarkable achievements of MLK Jr., the events that led to this important Federal holiday, and how each of us can continue to allow his legacy to help light the way forward. Yesterday, George (BRA Chairman & owner of @modernskate) and I enjoyed the final Combi Pool Classic @vansskate at the Block in Orange. What an incredible event. Not only was the skateboarding in all divisions remarkable with tons of skateboarding legends in attendance, @greyson_fletcher absolutely shut it down with this jaw-dropping move. 🤯

The LA Wildfires have been and continue to be incredibly devastating to the entire region and have displaced hundreds of thousands of people who in many cases, evacuated with only the clothes on their backs. Thanks to all of the incredible shops like Jack’s and so many others who serve their communities in these times of need.
