The Frenchman came alive in the best trick section to claim victory over Portugal’s Gustavo Ribeiro and 12-year-old Japanese rising star Onodera Ginwoo in the men’s final at the street world championships and Olympic Qualifier in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

With his smooth style on the gnarliest tricks, he has captured the hearts of fans and earned the World Champion Title!
The 24-year-old from Lyon proceeded to gain momentum throughout the week-long competition before reaching a completely new level in the final.
As the final eight attempted to win the championship, Giraud engaged in a duel with some of the world’s best skateboarders, evoking the ancient gladiators.
With his fifth and last trick attempt, the Frenchman stunned the spectators by performing a flawless hardflip late backside one-eighty over one of the massive half moon hubba ledges on the course.
This week’s street world championship was also a Paris 2024 qualifier event with Olympic World Skateboard Ranking (OWSR) awarded based on the final results.
The next stop for street skaters on the road to Paris 2024 will be Rome, Italy for a World Skateboarding Tour stop from 18-25 June.
